Item Description
Mid Century lacewood & maple British chest of four drawers. Made by Vespa furniture, early 1950's.
Overall in excellent clean condition with a lovely colour, the chest of drawers has been sympathetically re-finished by hand, and still retains a few very light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage. One small mark to the left hand side to note, as shown.
The chest of drawers is veneered in highly figured book match lacewood to the front and top, with maple to the sides. The edgings and legs are solid maple.
An excellent quality piece of furniture showing good craftsmanship. The drawer linings are also made in solid mahogany, with dovetail construction. All the drawers work very well and are clean on the inside.
Matching dressing table also listed.
