Item Description

A regency rosewood sofa table with brass inlaid top. Castors stamped 'COCKEN'. Circa 1820.

A larger design sofa table, it would suit four people to sit at if required. It is very sturdy in structure.

The table is in good condition with the original finish, which has been cleaned and waxed. The top has mellowed to a lovely colour with age.

The drawer interiors are made in solid mahogany with handmade dovetail construction. The handles are not original, but they are good quality brass replicas.

There is a slightly raised piece of brass, as shown, a small moulding missing to one corner, you should be able to make this out in photograph number 4. The top does have some blisters to the veneer in places, and there is a slight opening shown in the last photograph.

Additional dimensions information:

99cm wide (fully extended it is 129cm wide. With one leaf in use it is 102cm wide). There is 61.5cm in height under the drawer frieze. There is 61.5cm in height under the drawer frieze.
