Item Description
A Japanese fruitwood carved side table, retailed by Liberty & Co. Circa 1900.
These tables were commissioned by Liberty & Co, and hand-carved in Japan. The firm imported Middle Eastern and Asian goods sympathetic to the ideals of the Art movements in the late 19th Century. Some of these tables were flat packed and required putting together after their long journey to Liberty’s Regent Street store. There is no retailer's label to the table.
The table is sinuously carved with floral decoration and it is in very good original condition. It has been waxed polished. There is some very light movement down to the design. It has no damage or woodworm. The table has moved slightly with age, as you can see in the angle on the top in the 3rd photograph.

Delivery is included in the purchase price for all areas in MAINLAND England & Wales.
This is via a two-person team to a room of your choice with good access.
Delivery usually takes 5-10 working days from receipt of payment (may be a little longer in more remote areas).
There is an additional charge of £12 per floor for delivery via the stairs above the first floor, if there is no lift the item can fit in.
