Antique Turkish Oushak carpet, 'wagireh' or sample carpet. The original braided finish at one end indicates that the piece never had an end border and was made as a large sample for a much larger carpet (please see photos of the back).
Allover design, great interior designers' piece.
Beautiful colours, soft wool and full pile all over.
Dates from 1890-1910.
