Item Description
Very rare architectural panel depicting a Ptarmigan (an arctic grouse) initialled by the artisan AWG and made by Doulton.
This panel, which is one of seven available individually, formed part of a frieze removed from a Victorian pub in Eastleigh, Southampton.
he bird is beautifully modelled, as you would expect from Doulton during the height of the Arts and Crafts period.
