Item Description
Very large, antique, French oval mirror, circa 1880, with a wide and deep gilt frame decorated, in the curved central section, with a delicate etching of flowers and leaves and, at the centre top and bottom, an etched bow. A row of beading runs along the sight edge (edge closest to the glass) and a delicate, raised, ribbon-twist design runs around the outside edge. The original, bevelled glass has some light age in the form of gentle shading, but gives an excellent reflection.
