Item Description
Vintage, triple, dressing table mirror, circa 1950, with bevelled glass in each section, held together with silver metal hinges and secured to a blue-painted wooden back by little silver metal clips. There is a little, light age in the glass, mainly in the two side sections but the mirror still gives a very good reflection and the two outer sections of this mirror will fold flat against the central section. In the photographs it is shown standing with the sides angled giving a width of 66cm approximately. Fully opened, this mirror measures 77cm wide. It does have special, secret, provenance. When we collected it from the auction house we purchased it from, they rushed to remove the label from the back of the mirror as they had promised the vendor they would do this. The label had a prominent ER in the centre and we believe the mirror was from a room within the late Queen Elizabeth's household.
