Item Description
This is a C19 Ottoman embroidery stretched mounted on an antique hemp sheet. Its an absolute beauty. The embroidery is executed in colourful silks including the most beautiful coral pink for the flowers. There's also a little wirework on some of the plant stems. The embroidery is on a background of hand spun and loomed cotton. It's in wonderful condition. I have removed a couple of stains that I couldn't live with and this has lightened the cotton background a little but its not that noticeable. Please check the photos carefully. There is a hanging wire on the back.
