Item Description
These cushions are stunning. They are made from the centre panels of a vintage Maonan wedding blanket. The textile is handwoven on a narrow loom and two panels were joined together to make a wider cloth. The width of the loom, approx 12" dictates the width of the cushions in this case. The stone coloured cotton ground is decorated with auspicious symbols in a floating weft silk, and the colours, mainly indigos and pinks are wonderful. The cushions are backed with a thick cotton that has been dyed with indigo, and there are zip fasteners and feather pads.
I love these cushions propped against the pillows on a bed, or used on a low backed sofa.
