Item Description
The most opulent and impressive English Regency patinated bronze and ormolu four branch candelabra and single candlesticks. Vine clad stems rise above three Lions their tails entwined and hinds raised. Small bunches of grapes can be found nestling between three rams heads giving the illusion of supporting intricate scrolling branches, each branch terminating with a candle holder and drip tray. A stem of acanthus leaves support the fourth candle holder above. The crisp chased detail is clean and precise indicating the highest quality. We know a little of the history behind these magnificent candelabra and candlesticks which have been within the same family for many years in a town house in East Sussex. Early 19th century candelabra, perfect for formal dining or mantle shelf.
