Item Description
Over a century of use has created the most wonderful patina to this evocative dressing table, every little dint and scuff only adding to its character and charm. A low curved gallery sits behind the original kidney shaped glass top. The mirrored surface has a reasonable amount of wear with some little surface scratches as one would expect for its history and use, only enhancing its mystique. Below are two single drawers, each decorated with raised ribbon tied swags and the original ring pull handles. Raised upon four elegant fluted legs united at the base by a curved ‘H’ stretcher. The surface paint has mellowed over the past century above a creamy white base coat. The raised beading and swags upon the drawer fronts were originally highlighted with silver leaf, now a little faded yet still clearly visible.
