Item Description
An early 19th century English Fruitwood Lowboy. Such a rare treat to find a Lowboy with such delicate proportions, so pretty and the added delight of being cherrywood. The top has three solid beautifully seasoned cherrywood timbers with no gaps or splits above a long single drawer with a smaller drawer to either side beneath. Each drawer has retained its original brass swan’s neck handle. Raised on four plain, elegant legs with decorative pierced fretwork detail above the legs to the foreground. Minor signs of historical woodworm as one would expect for the period. All of our furniture is woodworm treated if only as a precautionary measure. Gorgeous colour and historical patina. English Georgian Lowboy circa 1810.
