Item Description
A magnificent example of a chandelier of this style and proportions. Strands of faceted beads create the domed top section to this stunning chandelier, this being surmounted with a small gilded coronet.
Below the dome sits a decorative gilded ring with alternating lead crystal icicles and drops with a further arrangement of long graceful strands cascading down to a second larger gilded hoop representing the tented body of the chandelier. The hoop supports six triple candle fittings with an impressive eighteen lights in total each light fitting housed within a quality cream card faux candle. Below the hoop a lower section is suspended with further strands of cut glass beads. To the base of the beaded bag is a decorative turned ebony and gilded brass finial. The individual strands of diamond shaped beads, icicles and drops have all been carefully removed, hand washed and polished for extra sparkle. The whole piece completely checked for any damaged or missing parts, replaced where necessary and so reassembled to perfection. Newly wired and safety PAT tested. Ready for immediate installation. France circa 1900. weight 28 kgs / 61 lbs.
