Item Description
Vintage storage bins, originating from Northern India, these would have originally been made to store grain such as rice or pulses.
Made from galvanised metal painted in typical Indian fashion with vibrant colours, in this case, one is a kingfisher blue and the other is a mint green.
Attractive shaped wrought iron carrying handles and the lids close with latches that can be locked with a padlock.
The green bin has an attractive and original brass plaque maker label with a rifle logo for 'Samsudin Tajbhai' who were based in 'Rajkot, Kathiawar' which is in Gujarat, Northern India.
They are in good vintage condition with some wear throughout commensurate with age and use.
The blue one measures approximately 69cm high x 52cm wide x 51cm deep.
The green one measures approximately 68cm high x 46cm wide x 47cm deep.
