Item Description
An unusual pine lidded box, decorated with painted panels to each side. Two depict sprites or pixies supporting and smoking pipes. Possibly this relates to the smoking of opium. The lid has four crickets scraffito painted circling the brass knob. The other two sides have paintings of a flower and a ship. Well executed and charming. Dimensions: H 18.5cm W 18cm D 18cm
