This 19th-century French bronze and brass bouillotte lamp features two adjustable arms, each ending in a candleholder. The arms can be repositioned to accommodate different candle lengths and are topped with equally adjustable shades. Exquisite metal scrolls adorn the arms, shades, and top of the lamp. With its attractive aged brass patina, this rare bouillotte lamp serves as an elegant decorative piece, adding a touch of authenticity to any interior.
Originally designed for the popular 19th-century French card game Bouillotte, the lamp was placed at the centre of the table. Its wide base held coins, while the adjustable shades were positioned to provide soft, ambient lighting.
