This 18th-century Dutch Delftware vase has been converted to a table lamp. It is decorated in blue and white with a striking Chinoiserie decor of a bird-of-paradise standing over a pond, surrounded by lush bushes of flowers. The bird's elongated feathers mirror the richness of the floral motifs, accentuating the expressive nature of the decor. The vase features an elegant round shape and a narrow neck.
