This 18th-century French faience serving dish from Rouen features an exquisite polychrome decor of two cornucopias filled with abundant flowers and foliage, surrounded by lively birds and fluttering butterflies. The edge is elegantly shaped and finished with red scallop patterns. The cornucopia decor is typical of Rouen and combines an expressive circular movement with captivating details and vibrant colours.

This exceptional platter is in excellent condition and a gorgeous example of the sophisticated taste of late 18th-century France.
