19th Century English Copper Illuminated Glass Cremations Sign

A highly decorative and unique example of an English copper illuminated ruby red glass funeral cremations sign. Originally this sign would have been gas lit but we have converted it to a UK 240v power source, with an on and off switch for convenience. The form of this item is completely original otherwise, with case metal case back box and hanging chains attached as shown in the close-up photos.

This item shows natural wear and aging with a deep Verdigris surface, scuffs worn areas, and rust on the metal sections is present. This is an old antique original item that has stood the test of time. The lighting we have added is new for current day use and has a switch attached. The glass is in one piece and this item is solid and in one piece. The original hanging chains are made from brass and make a “V” shape rather than what we have photographed horizontally as photographed.
