19th Century Austrian hand carved folk art wall candle holder

This is a very unusual piece of folk art, made from hand carved wood in 2 pieces as the pipe is removable and could have been used to either insert a sent to fragrance a room or sold could have held a candle. The detail resembles either German or Austrian carving. A small brass hook is in place at the reverse so it can be hung flat on a wall.

Without loss or break in overall very good condition considering its age. With a natural patination across all its surface and worn in some places as shown in the photos provided.
