Item Description

Rare 19th Century Hoshiarpur Hand Crafted Vessel

A rare example of a late 19th century hand crafted Indian Hoshiarpur inlayed vessel of sorts. The refined detail and placement of patterned motif work on this example is quite exquisite. A rare example in this form and condition. The neck of this vessel unscrews to reveal the hollow belly which would likely have been used to store fragrant oils or ointments.

Size of inches: H 10” x W 5” x D 5”

Completely solid in structure and form, with natural wear and patination across all surfaces due to age and use. With some inlayed detail missing but 99% still firmly in place.

An original used example so please expect imperfections as suggested. This item is not brand new and therefore not in mint condition. We have tried to show all its flaws in the photos however it’s difficult to show all angles.

For multiple years we have sold antique items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items are only restored due to breaks and major loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
