Early 20th Century Enamel Advertising Sign “Joker”
A unique and rare example of an early 20th Century enamel advertising sign “Joker”. A very cool sign in our humble opinion for a number of reasons, whether you are a Batman fan, or have a cool man cave this sign would brilliant placed in the correct setting. Still with vibrant colour and aged naturally over the years.
History
Emaillerie Alsacienne de Strasbourg was founded in 1923 by Georges Weill. He purchased a former brickyard in Hoenheim to turn it into his enamelware factory. Initially, the factory manufactured all kinds of enameled products such as stove fronts, wood-burning stove pipes, and other household items.
