19^th Century Persian Papier Mache Hand Painted Trinket Box

Covered in hand painted detail and illustrations, this 19^th Century Persian trinket box details a scene of a group of figures traveling across waters in a boat. Ornately hand painted detail of animal, beasts and birds cover this artistic box with Islamic text across the edge of the rim. Aged repairs and worn surface cover this item however its still strong in colour and form, a well preserved piece of art.

This item is aged naturally, a deep patination across all its surface as shown, an old used object that has aged repairs and splits to the lid, chipped surface painted detail and faded painted areas as shown. An old used object, however firm in form and the lid fits perfectly as first intended. The painted details is lost in areas as show. In overall presentable condition considering its age and obvious use.
