Item Description
Early 19th Century British School studies of a dead robin and kingfisher both similarly inscribed to the lower margin. Watercolours on paper with pencil underdrawings, housed in glazed gilt wood period frame totally as acquired.
“This drawing was made by Richard Pillar, a fair lad of Pomeroy who was an apprentice of W M Hannaford, bookseller, Totnes 1807”
Some bleeding to the inked description, and a small section is illegible, but above is what I can favim
Age related discolouration and browning to the paper as one would expect, 24 x 28cm
