Item Description
A charming early 20th century Chinese door of hope missionary doll of an elderly gentleman.
A notably early example, in original untouched condition. The painted face has a particularly pleasing heavily acquired craquelure from time, his clothing is also beautifully faded.
Carved wood and polychromed painted feet and hands, the head appears to be paper mache, cloth body.
The original paint on the gents head is fragile and would benefit from being untouched or knocked.
