Item Description
Fab pair of poker work panels of Tigers, turn of the century in age circa 1910
A simple process of mark making, using a hot poker to scorch a wooden surface. It would appear Edward was well practiced in the process.
The tigers, one a side profile portrait in some undergrowth, the other a growling portrait.
Both have a wonderful naive feel and remind me of A. S. Howell the fairground artist.
Both signed front and back along with "After Curtis"
15/13cm & 16/13cm
