Item Description
This is an absolutely fascinating and one of a kind antique Italian had of Neptune that dates from the ancient times [many centuries old]. Discovered recently in Florence this magnificent sculptural treasure is entirely hand carved from a wonderful cream coloured marble. Once it was the main part of a fountain where the water sprung out of Neptune's mouth. The sculpture measures about 33 x 43 x 15 cm or approximately 13 x 17 x 6 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with a fabulous patina created by the passage of time. This is a highly decorative and remarkable find that would look just exquisite in any stylish and unique interior or exterior such as a garden or a conservatory. It could be displayed against a wall or on a flat surface if desired. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
