This is an absolutely gorgeous antique Italian portrait painting that was discovered recently in Florence. It is a masterful oil on canvas painting that is signed and dated: "C. Wick 1858. Still in its original gilded oval frame the portrait of a beautiful and mysterious sitter is quite remarkable and in lovely antique condition considering its age, with some signs of ageing which in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today.
