Item Description
This is an absolutely outstanding and extremely rare Italian white marble statue that potentially originates from antiquity. Discovered recently in the South of Italy this exquisite antique sculpture of a man's torso is exceptional in its artistic quality as well as the condition considering that is many centuries old. It might even be of Roman origin as such classical art was created during that period. The statue comes from a private collection when during the 20th century it was positioned on a spectacular block of a rare black marble infused with cream coloured veins. This is a true masterpiece from the past that looks just exquisite! With the stand as shown on the images the statue measures about 55 x 23.5 x 16 cm or approximately 21.6 x 9.2 x 6.2 inches. The marble torso is about 42 x 23 x 14 cm or approximately 16.5 x 9 x 5.5 inches. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
