Item Description
This is a pair of lovely antique Italian angels that dates from the early 19th century or older. The angels are hand carved from wood and painted in lovely shades of blue and pink colours. Once they were most certainly an altar adorment, both in a graceful kneeling position. They are in a gorgeous timeworn condition enhanced by a distressed patina that in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today. Each angel measures about 36 x 26 x 6 cm or approximately 14.1 x 10.2 x 2.3 inches. They are highly decorative and exactly as I discovered them in Venice, Italy.
