Antique Marble Bust Signed Houdon. A white statutory marble bust of a gentleman, after Jean Antoine Houdon (1741–1828). Houdon was the preeminent sculptor of the French Enlightenment, who was primarily known for his portraiture. His work focussed heavily on intense naturalism and the art of antiquity.
