Item Description
An antique ecclesiastical stained glass window hanging depicting a bishop, circa 1890. Designed in a distinctive arched shape, this stained glass window panel resembles a small church window.
The bishop is dressed in blue with a long cloak called a cope around his shoulders, mitre on his head, holding a bible in his left hand and a crosier staff in his right. He stands before a backdrop of patterned red glass, surrounded by a further border of golden florets.
Complete with hook to the top, this stained glass is perfect for hanging in a window or in front of a light source where the colours will be brought to life.
CONDITION REPORT
Good structural condition. Two areas of historic repairs to the border. No cracks or damage to main panel. Hook to the top for hanging. Photographed in front of a light box.
