A pair of English encaustic medieval tiles dating to circa 1400, sourced from a private collection, Oxfordshire.
The set comprises of two tiles in varying size, displaying historical emblems of lions surrounded by a border of fleur de lys.
Originally used as floor tiles, this pair showcase a characterful time worn look created from weathering dating all the way back to the English medieval period!
