Item Description
A good pair of early 19th century English Regency patinated bronze Athenienne candlesticks in the manner of Thomas Hope. Good examples, conceived in the form of Roman Athenniene alters with X-form tripod supports and paw feet standing on yellow Sienna marble bases. The original pattern for these candlesticks was introduced around 1800 at Hope's Duchess Street house.
Excellent condition.
