A fine pair of Perspective Views from a set of eight; ‘the South front of Hampton Court & part of the Garden taken from the Bastion at the End of the Terras Walk’ together with ‘the Pavilions belonging to the Bowling Green at the End of the Tarras Walk at Hampton Court’.
Being from the first publication ‘according to the Act of Parliament Decr. 1744 & sold by Mr. Highmore Jnr in St. Mary’s Ave. & J. Tinney Printseller at the Golden Lion in Fleet Street London’.
A collaborative work by Highmore and Tinney republished in 1766 and sold by John Bowles and Robert Sayer.

Anthony Highmore Jnr was a draughtsman of topographical landscapes and an occasional portrait painter. Born in London in 1718 he was the son and pupil of Joseph Highmore, assisting his father until shortly before he retired to Canterbury in 1761, when Anthony himself abandoned painting. The set of perspective views of Hampton Court are amongst his best known works.
John Tinney was a publisher, engraver and print seller. He was apprenticed to the engraver John Stuart, establishing his own print shop in Fleet Street in the 1730s selling a range of goods including imported French prints, prints such as these views, as well as maps and drawing books. He died in 1761.
