Item Description

Steel and brass coupler to harness a pair of coursing long dogs, the brass joiner engraved with the owner's name, W. H. Kellett, the terminals being sprung steel clips.

English circa 1800.

13 inches long.

Sir William Henry Kellett, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 October 1794. He was a major landowner near Wexford, Great Clonard, the son of Sir Richard Kellett, 1st Bt. and Jane Galwey. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Kellett, of Lota, co. Cork in 1853 and lived in Dublin.
