This exquisite French Refectory Style Farmhouse Table from around 1930 can comfortably seat six people, with the potential for more depending on the chair or bench style used – making it ideal for social gatherings throughout the year.

The table is robust, crafted from solid French oak timbers with a bleached natural finish. Its top is notably heavy but removable, which aids in transportation – a feature that may hark back to its original design for ease of washing or bleaching and subsequent drying. The base is sturdy, featuring four elegantly turned legs and a central stretcher rail that connects to the two end legs (the shortest span) with angled wooden pieces, creating a Y-shaped frame. This construction is characteristic of French Farmhouse Tables from this era, promising to bring a solid, significant, and enduring charm to any interior.

Regarding the durability and mark-resistance of the chosen finish, I cannot assure any particular finish will provide this certainty, except for commercially applied lacquer finishes, which would come with warranties provided by the professionals performing such services.
