Item Description
Decorative Italian decoupaged prints after the originals mounted on wood panels.
These are vintage copies of architect Van Utens plans for the illustrious Medici family of 15th century Italy.
Once the villa and gardens were complete, these picturesque half-rounds were hung above the doorways leading to newly finished gardens. The originals were found folded and tucked into books long forgotten.
Both prints are reproduced in wonderful detail, right down to the crease marks and wear from centuries of being folded and pressed inside a book.
Each picture identifies the villa by name.
Good vintage condition, both displaying a distressed finish.
