Item Description
These cushions are made from the beautiful embroidered silk ribbons that were used to decorate skirt borders by the Miao ethnic minority. The textile dates from 1900 to 1920 and the colour was originally strong pink. Please look closely at the textile, all the tiny embroidery stitches have been done by hand!!
The cushion is backed with a hand dyed antique linen, has a zip closure and feather pad.
