Item Description

Fine Sturdy Wine Grower's 'Vendange' or Tasting Table which came from the 'Faugeres' region of Languedoc in southern France. Folding tables like this one were made for tasting the wines and/or lunching in the fields and vineyards.

Dating from 1900-1930, the planked table is made from 'Merisier'. or Wild Cherry and is shown in our London garden where it has been used for many years. In excellent condition with an ancient mark where someone once stood a hot flat-iron , now an integral part of the table's history.- and charm !
