Item Description
Picassiette (mosaics made from bits of broken plate) was a traditional craft in Provence in Southern France during the 19th & early 20th centuries when families would enshrine their favourite broken pieces to create a form of 'Memory Art'. But it's now hard to find nice pieces so maybe all the broken pottery has dried up ? This very nice example with an original hand coloured print of the children measures 22 inches high x 17 wide .( 56 x 43 cms)
