Item Description

Historic 'Tower' Clock Face from a late 19th/Early 20th Century French Town Hall or Large Building.

With original enamelled plaques fixed to the circular wooden back  and with the original worn gilded hands, the clockmaker's name and town are shown on the central circular plaque ' ' 'M.FIOGERE LA ROCHE.'

Tower clocks on historic buildings such as town halls in France frequently had as many as 4 faces which explains why more than one of these faces is currently available on the market.

The Clockface measures 60 inches diameter (153 cms). The enamelled fascia panels are in original condition on a sturdy restored wooden backboard with obvious but acceptable wear from age and long usage.
