Carved Pine Coat-of-Arms from France . The small Armorial Carved Shield depicts the Fleurs-de-Lys of the French Monarchy in silver on a blue ground with surrounding gilded and polychrome painted Heraldic wood carving.
Possibly carved for a royalist society or else as a family emblem .
In good condition with various small imperfections including a small piece of carved scroll missing (front of plaque, top right).and tiny metal brace on the reverse top left above a shaped bracing piece of hardboard fixed by screws,.
