Item Description
A delightful hand made studio pottery vase by the ceramicist Louis Hudson who founded his pottery in Trethevy, Cornwall in 1971, but sadly gave it up in 1983.
Of small proportions at approx 20cm tall, it has a definite presence thanks to it's wonderfully unique designs which differ on the front and back.
In the style of various hieroglyphics with a large circle at the top on one side which really stands out, it is tactile and beautifully made with an unusual rectangular opening to the top that is also glazed in a light grey/blue.
Hudson's work is reminiscent of Bernard Rooke in some respects and though collectible, we feel his work is still very much undervalued.
No damage, cracks or repairs.
