Fabulous Art Deco limed oak dining suite by the celebrated Belgian makers De Coene c.1930. Comprising large sideboard, extending dining table, six chairs and a smaller side cabinet. Items can be sold separately. Details below.
Large Sideboard.
Over seven feet long, the a raised centre with sliding glass doors, unusually shaped shelves and opaque glass sides with working lights behind to light the cabinet's satinwood lined interior. Over a two door cupboard fitted with a single adjustable shelf (internal depth 17"), flanked with taller cupboards to each side, both with two adjustable shelves within. Fabulous streamlined design with rounded corners and free of any applied decoration save for the oak veneers arranged so the medullary rays form a symmetrical pattern across the exterior. Raised on a long plinth foot with moulded front edge repeated from the surround below the glazed cabinet. Excellent condition, fitted with brand new lights, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Retaining the original keys for all three locks.

Extending Dining Table.
69" x 39" table top in limed oak chequerboard veneers (the grain arranged in alternating directions in each square) with rounded corners and a 4" deep crossbanded edge. Raised on pedestal ends and sledge feet joined with a polished white metal stretcher. Maker's stamp to the underside of the table.
Clips below the table allow the top to extend to accommodate up seven 19" wide leaves (please note though original they are not in limed oak) with a maximum length of 202", very nearly 17 feet long! With an extra pair of legs folding from underneath each end of the table for support. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Set of Six Dining Chairs.
Limed oak frames with curved and padded backrests and sprung seats upholstered in dark blue leather. Note the unusual design with the seat overlapping the frame along the front edge. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Raised gallery to the centre over a lockable fall front cabinet with four drawers inside (internal dimensions 16.5" x 10.5" x 4"), over an open display shelf. Streamlined machine age design with rounded corners and free of any applied decoration save for the pattern of the medullary rays in the oak veneers used across the exterior. Maker's stamp to the rear. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Original key supplied.
