A Stylish Pair of Early 19th Century Italian Walnut Armchairs with Lion Head Terminals.
These lovely armchairs are conceived in the Empire style, popular throughout Europe in the early 19th century. Constructed from figured walnut with good, stylish proportions and carved lions head terminals to the arms which retain traces of gilding. The flowing lines from head rail to back rail to tips of the feet are well executed.
