This is an antique display table. An English, oak tripod podium in the manner of Liberty and the Arts & Crafts movement, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Striking form, with hexagonal top and appealing Arts & Crafts appearance
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak presents fine grain interest and wisps of medullary rays
Rich caramel hues accentuate the superb tripod form
Dashing hexagonal top with a generous surface, ideal for lamps or planters
Canted legs replete with distinctive elongated 'clock hand' pierced motif
Useful under tier situated within the trio of square section legs
Shaped bracket feet add a final visual flourish to the whole
Unmarked as such, but redolent of Liberty, London
This is a superb antique display table, diminutive in stature but of distinguished visual appearance. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
