This is an antique dual aspect sewing table. An English, rosewood ladies work box, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Fascinating dual aspect table, with striking figuring and form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present superb grain interest
Graced with delightful warm caramel hues throughout

Front fascia hosts a small drawer and sliding wool box with pleated upholstery
In pleasingly clean order, the wool box offering a height of 19cm (7.5'')
Reverse opening work surface with access to the internal storage compartment
Dressed with inset locks to both fascia — keys absent

Distinctive horse shoe support frames the wool box
Hexagonal column tapering to a beaded collar above the hyperboloid base
Riding smoothly upon a set of inset castors, enclosed within squat bun feet
