This is a large antique three panel coffer. An English, carved oak storage trunk, linen chest or window seat, dating to the William III period, circa 1700.

Superb William III period example with great size and colour
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Select oak presents fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
Fascinating traditional staple hinges articulate the wide, panelled lid

Carved three panel fascia with ornate diamond motif below a demi-lune border
Inset lock to fascia — untested, key absent
