This is a vintage Barcelona polo mallet stand. A Spanish, oak equestrian tack or coat rack, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.

Fascinating stand for polo enthusiasts, or as an accoutrement to a stable reception
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Crafted from Pyrenean Oak, native to the Northern regions of Spain
Presents fine grain interest and deep caramel hues throughout

Quality brass crest of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona upon a shield mount
Adorned with decorative rosettes, adding a pleasing dash of colour
Pair of turned rests across the upper rail with four receptacles upon the base for hosting mallets
Further presents a set of six steel clips, ideal for accepting polo whips

Personalised message to the reverse, to celebrate a birthday in 1965
Decorative leather nose band with fine bead detail accentuates the base
